World of Warcraft Top 10 Best Quests You Don’t Want to Miss
Have you started taking on the quests in World of Warcraft? If not, you’re missing out. The game has a variety of quests that you’ll enjoy and get addicted to.
To give you an idea, here are the top 10 quests that you should get started on right about now:
The Day that Deathwing Came: The Real Story
While playing WoW, you’ll have three people telling you of their own versions of the story of the Cataclysm expansion. Starting and ending in Badlands, this quest is all about listening to Lucien Tosselwrench’s story. This quest will have you playing different characters as the story unfolds. It’s an entertaining quest, but can only be played once. Completing this quest will have you earning 9,550 experience points.
Turning you (the player) into a fusion core, your task is to obliterate 1000 Crazed Gnomes. You start the quest chain by killing a Cursed Surveyor or Crazed Digger in the south-east. So in this quest, you’ll control the direction of a large spinning fireball, follow the path down a hill and take out the gnomes you run into along the way. It’s a fun and entertaining quest, basically. Afterwards, you can choose from one of these rewards: Kata-Mary Crown, Spaulders of Rolling Incineration, Fireball Treads or Gloves of Gnomebliteration. You will also gain 15,750 experience points.
Maximillian of Northshire Quests
A string of quests put you squarely in the service of Maximillian of Northshire as his new squire and in charge of helping him save damsels in distress, slay dragons and kill a brood mother. You’ll join Maximilian in his quest for adventure and mission to save ladies in need of help using hilarious and unconventional methods. The quests are An Important Lesson, The Evil Dragons of Un’Goro, Damsels Were Made to be Saved, The Spirits of Golakka Hot Springs, The Ballad of Maximillian, Damsels and Dragons and A Hero’s Quest is Never Complete.
The Lady’s Necklace
The first quest of the “Lady’s Necklace quest chain”, starts when you activate the drop of the item, the Lady’s Necklace. It can be found in Windrunner Spire. The quest will lead you from Tranquillien – to deliver the necklace to High Executor Mavren (The Lady’s Necklace) – then afterwards, to Undercity (Journey to Undercity) and to the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest (Delivery to the Sepulcher). Upon completion of the first quest, you will gain 3,170 experience and 1,000 reputation with Tranquillien.
A part of The Sons of Hodir quest chain, The Drakkensyrd will be open to you once you’ve passed all the tests of the Hyldsmeet. You will be put on a Hyldsmeet Proto-Drake on a flight to the Temple of Storms. As the vehicle is high up in the air, you may want to employ a slow-fall method in case you fall off the drake. Then the objective is to use the Hyldnir Harpoon to defeat 10 Hyldsmeet Drakeriders at the Temple of Storms. Then you’ll use it again once you succeeded to exit the Drakkensryd and speak to Thorim. Afterwards, you can choose from the following rewards: Leggings of the Frozen Wastes, Frost Hardened Bracers, Pauldrons of the Ascent, Light-Touched Mantle or Sharpened Hyldnir Harpoon.
Battle of the Crimson Watch
The Battle of the Crimson Watch takes place in the Shadowmoon Valley and Shattrath City regions of the Outlands. In this quest, you’ll have to battle the forces of Illidan at Crimson Watch and survive. Then once you emerge as a victor, you’ll have to return to A’dal at Shattrath City. It’s not a very long quest chain, but quite difficult, so you’ll have to tread carefully. You will be rewarded with whatever you choose, from: Acrobat’s Mark of the Sha’tar, Aggressor’s Mark of the Sha’tar, Mage’s Mark of the Sha’tar or Spiritualist’s Mark of the Sha’tar. You will also gain 16,230 experience and 500 reputation with The Sha’tar.
The Battle of Darrowshire
This quest is part of the Rewriting the Battle of Darrowshire quest chain with a quite emotional backstory. In this quest, you’re tasked with a few objectives. You’ll need to place the Relic Bundle at the Darrowshire town square, prevent Davil Lightfire’s death until the death of Horgus, prevent Captain Redpath’s death until Redpath the Corrupted appears, defeat Redpath the Corrupted and finally, allow his spirit to return to his daughter Pamela. As a reward, you’ll get the Tea with Sugar and 8,300 experience points.
Coming after the Battle for Light’s Hope Chapel, the objective of this quest is to defeat the forces of the Argent Dawn – which stand at the ready in Light’s Hope Chapel as the final battle for the Plaguelands approaches – and uncover the Light of Dawn. If you survive this quest, you’re tasked to return to Highlord Darion Mograine. At the start of the battle, you’ll receive a buff called The Might of Mograine to increase your damage, health and health regeneration, which allow you to fight the defenders of the Light. You can choose between the Greataxe of the Ebon Blade and the Greatsword of the Ebon Blade as a reward.
Angrathar the Wrathgate
This quest is about the battle between the united forces of the Alliance and the Horde against the undead Scourge. Which is a major quest chain. It’s important to know though, that this quest won’t start until you managed to complete several quest chains in Dragonblight. After you completed the required quest chains, you’ll then be able to watch a cutscene depicting the great battle at the Wrath Gate. Then you’ll get Achievement zone icecrown 05 (Veteran of the Wrathgate) upon completion of the quests.
A Horde-only quest, Welcome to the Machine is an epic not-quite adventure. This quest is very different from the rest in this list. Which is why I put it in the top spot. Instead of doing the quest conventionally, you’ll be the one to hand them out to three traveling adventurers. Which puts you in the NPC position and gives you a personal insight to their lives and roles in the game. Truly, it’s a weird and delightful quest that lets you look at yourself as a player through the traveling adventurers. In the end you’ll gain 3,960 experience and 250 reputation with Undercity as well as choose from different reward options.
Our final thoughts
There you have it. The best quests you can take on while playing WoW. Will you go for a mindless and fun quest Gnomebliteration, the hilarious and highly amusing Maximillian of Northshire Quests, or the action-packed Angrathar the Wrathgate? But then again, who says you’ll have to choose?
